Northumberland To The Core

Welcome to The Six Nine Orchard in beautiful Northumberland. Situated between the A69 and the Roman Wall. On the road to Rudchester where once stood the Roman fort of Vindobala is where you’ll find us.

The first trees were planted in 2006, we now have over 300 trees many of which are heritage varieties. Pears, Medlars, Cobnuts, Liquorice and Hops are also grown at the orchard along with over 2000 willows.

From the start the plan was always for everything to be grown organically. The result is that the orchard is now home to a myriad of insects and wild flowers and visited by a wide variety of birds and wildlife. Not long after the first trees were planted a pond was dug to help attract even more species, which now includes Crested Newts.

Life is good at The Six Nine Orchard.
